When Sylvain was born in Malmedy in 1928 it was part of Belgium. But the Nazis annexed the region and the population became German. From French to the german language, the life of the youngest dramatically changed when they were forced to fight at the eastern front for the Nazis. Inside a tank, aged 16 he got arrested by the Americains. After the war, he was not allowed to go back to Malmedy and was seen as an ennemie. Living in Brussel ever since, he is still very discret about his orgins.
